I must admit I do love a bit of nail art but I barely ever had the time, but this morning I had a spare hour and thought I'd show you how I created these cheetah print nails as it couldn't be simpler.
1. Firstly paint your base layer, you could use almost any colour for this. You could use the typical gold/browns of a cheetah, or go a bit funky like I have with bright pink. This colour is Barry M but you can find similar almost everywhere!
2. Then you need to choose another contrasting colour so it will stand out over the base layer. I've used a silver metallic nail varnish by Revlon, and there are also similar in any beauty shop. Just dab the end of the brush creating small dots all over your nails, but keeping them enough separate so you can add an outline later.
3. Then begin adding a black outline around the dots, ensuring you keep them tidy. Experiment with different sizes and shapes and you could even do a few of your own spots in the corner where there isn't a dot. I've created these with liquid fast stroke eyeliner from Collection 2000 which is like a small pen which makes it easy to control.
4. Finish by painting a clear layer over the top which not only makes them look shiny and brand new, but ensures the eyeliner doesn't rub off and protects your lovely new nails.
Hope you guys found this helpful, I will definitely do a few more similar nail posts in the future!

Are the lengths of your nails natural? If so how do you get them so long? xx
ReplyDeleteYes they are natural :) as you can see one broke haha! They're also naturally strong but things I do are always keep them painted and file off and buff any rough sides that may catch and snap, and don't cut them too much xx
