Monochrome patterns...

So I decided to use a different background for this post as it was so lovely and sunny and the field looked like a good backdrop. I have decided to create a cream suit out of my blazer and patterned shorts and I am in love with the combination against black accessories and top. My blazer is a boyfriend style which I got a few months ago. I wanted an oversized look and this contrasts well with the tighter shorts in this post. My lovely shorts are a jacquard pattern and from Boohoo.com. I absolutely love them, they are simplistic but the pattern just adds that little something. I also love the detailing of the blouse which really compliments the shorts. I borrowed this top from my sister who unfortunately got it a while ago so I cant add a link to it.
I have to mention the bargain that is my new clutch bag. I've been looking for an oversized black clutch for a while and I decided to pop into Peacocks last weekend as I never look in there, and this clutch was waiting for me at only £10, I had to have it. I love the pattern mixed with the velvet, it goes with absolutely everything. I've also worn my trusty Pandora ring and watch which I'm never seen not wearing.

Vintage vibes

So today's post isn't an everyday outfit, but I love vintage fashion and just had to include a touch of dogtooth to my blog. This coat is actually borrowed from my lovely friend and was given to her by her nan, so it really is authentic vintage! I love the print and although the coat was made a long time ago, the dogtooth is right on trend at the moment which is shown as my trousers are almost a match! My trousers are Dorothy Perkins and I bought them for sixth form not long ago. I also bought these gorgeous cobalt court heels from Topshop and decided the blouse matched perfectly and really contrasted with the monochrome prints in this outfit. The necklace is from H&M and modernises the outfit slightly and adds a bit of sparkle.

Hair dye

Just a quick post to let you know I'm going to dye my hair blonde (hopefully) tomorrow using Garnier Nutrisse Creme in shade 9 light blonde. I've used home hair dye to lighten my hair in the past but it's faded quite a bit so I've chosen a lighter shade this time to see how it goes! I will definitely put a results and review post up when it's done to show you what it turns out like and whether I'd recommend it or not!

Tartan with a hint of fur...

Just a quick post today to show probably my favourite thing in my wardrobe: my fur trim coat. This coat was £95 so a little on the expensive side, but was worth absolutely every penny! I love the tweed fabric and the fur detail which is detachable so perfect for every season! I've got a lot of wear out of it so I am very pleased I decided to splash out. For the post I decided to show the outfit I was wearing as it is simple and allows the coat to take centre stage. My dress is from Dorothy Perkins and is a lovely cream shade, perfect for the upcoming spring! The cream/white in my tartan scarf goes perfect with this dress and my coat so I decided to put that with them. My lovely necklace is from Wallis, where I work so I got a cheeky discount on that! The black & cream colours in it make the necklace a perfect accessory for this outfit! My bag is from H&M and is a simple black bag but is definitely a staple piece in my wardrobe as it goes with everything. Finally my boots I borrowed from my Mom for this post and are Italian leather apparently! She got them from a boutique near where we live but there are so many on sale at the moment, I have linked a few below!

Hope your weeks have been good as its finally the weekend!
(PS ignore my cat, he was being so persistent!) X

Boohoo Boutique

So this gorgeous jacquard dress has been sitting in my sister's wardrobe for ages and I just had to feature it in my next post so here it is! The dress is from the Boohoo Boutique range which is just a bit more high end than the rest of the site, but still very affordable. It is from last year's SS range and is a gorgeous pastel colour mix between purple and pink depending on how the light catches it. It reminds me of spring and summer which I love and can definitely brighten up a dull day like today!
To accessorise, I kept the clutch bag and shoes very simple and stuck to white. I have also added this gorgeous black coat in the style of a leather jacket to drape over my shoulders. I love the details and leather trimmings added to the sleeves on this jacket and its so warm and perfect for both winter and spring!
This clutch bag is one of my absolute favourite pieces in my wardrobe and didn't cost me a thing! It is vintage and was happily given to me by my Grandma who didn't feel she needed it anymore. It goes with absolutely everything!
I have also added my favourite jewellery which I will post about fully soon! My watch and rings are Pandora and my bracelet is Thomas Sabo. You can't really see but I had both my birthstone and tiara ring on here.
Hope you're all having a good week!

Pastel florals

So for my first post I thought I'd feature my newest favourite floral addition from Missguided! At only £9.99 it was one of the biggest bargains ever and I had to have it! Their fashion is so affordable and stylish, and has definitely become one of my favourite online shopping websites. I have teamed the skirt with another new pastel addition to my wardrobe, this pink/nude knit jumper from H&M which was only £14.99, so again a bargain! Just showing high street fashion is definitely affordable. To complete the outfit I felt it appropriate to keep the colours light and add my favourite white leather courts from Topshop and my tartan scarf from gretnagreen.com. This website is absolutely full of tartan scarves so perfect for such an on-going trend!

This coat is from Zara and is a wool double breasted style so is just perfect for winter days!
My cat also decided he had to be in the photos so I decided to pick him up and feature him much to his dislike!

PS I would love it if anyone could follow me on bloglovin: http://www.bloglovin.com/blog/11790031/charlottes-fashion-diary as i am a new blog. Thankyou!:-)

Introduction

New posts soon!

So I set this blog up with the intentions of 1. actually using it! and 2. using it to post outfits from the internet or outfit ideas. However, I am completely scrapping that and going to create a fashion/personal blog with outfits from my own wardrobe modelled by myself! As I am an art student who wants to pursue a career in fashion, I will also be showcasing my latest art pieces and sketchbook pages etc! I will try post as much as I can within my sixth form work and actual work!

Hope you enjoy.... My first post will be in a couple of days :-)
